Terms of use
These terms apply when you use SoftwareMatch (softwarematch.io), which is run by Apex Matrix Holdings LLC, registered in Wyoming, USA (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What the site is
SoftwareMatch compares business software. We publish rankings, comparisons, prices, guides and free calculators, using information from software vendors' own websites and the method described on how we rank. The site is free to use.
Information only, not advice
- Everything on the site is general information. It is not legal, tax, accounting, employment, financial or investment advice, and it does not take your situation into account. Speak to a qualified adviser before making decisions that depend on it.
- Prices, plans and features change often. We show the date we checked each price, but the vendor's own website always has the current price and terms. Check them before you buy.
- Calculators and generators (for example tax, payroll, cost and invoice tools) give estimates based on the figures you enter and the rules we know of on the date shown. Official bodies such as tax authorities have the final word.
- Some pages are drafted with the help of AI from our data and checked automatically. We do not test every product hands-on. If you find a mistake, please tell us.
Links, affiliates and other websites
We link to software vendors and other websites that we do not control. Some links are affiliate links: we may earn a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you, and this never changes our rankings (see our affiliate disclosure). Your purchase, contract and any dispute about a product are between you and the vendor, under the vendor's terms. We are not responsible for vendors' products, services, websites or privacy practices.
Using the site
You may read the site, use its tools and share links to it. Please do not:
- copy or republish substantial parts of our rankings, data or text, or use them to build a competing product, without our written permission (data we publish under an open licence, such as our software price tracker downloads under CC BY 4.0, may be reused on that licence's terms);
- scrape, crawl or download the site with automated tools in a way that harms its performance (normal search-engine crawling is welcome);
- try to break, overload or get around the site's security, rate limits or spam checks;
- send us anything unlawful, misleading, abusive or containing malware, or pretend to be someone else, including a software vendor.
Our content
The site's text, design, rankings, scores and compiled data belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Product names, logos and trademarks belong to their owners; we use them only to identify the products, and their use does not mean the owners endorse us.
What you send us
When you send a message or a listing update, you confirm that it is accurate and that you have the right to send it. You allow us to use the information in it to check and correct our listings and to publish facts from it (such as a new price), without payment. We decide whether and how to change a listing. We handle any personal data in it as described in our privacy policy.
No guarantee
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises, express or implied, that the site or its content is accurate, complete, current, fit for a particular purpose or free of errors, interruptions or harmful code.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data or business opportunity, arising from your use of the site, its content or tools, or any product or website it links to. Because the site is free, our total liability to you for any claim about it is limited to USD 100.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or removes rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
Changes and suspension
We may change, suspend or remove any part of the site at any time. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Wyoming have jurisdiction over any dispute, except that if you are a consumer, you may also bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live and keep the protection of its mandatory laws. Before starting a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it.
General
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. These terms, with our privacy policy and affiliate disclosure, are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
